The Annual Croton Earth Day Celebration is set to unfold on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 10 AM to 4 PM at Senasqua Park. This year's event promises an unforgettable lineup of performers that will captivate audiences of all ages!
Renowned Master Storyteller Jonathan Kruk, celebrated for his mesmerizing solo shows like "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" and "A Christmas Carol" sponsored by Historic Hudson Valley, will take center stage at 1:00 PM under the Gazebo. Join him for an engaging session titled "The Lore of the Hudson - Recycling, and Rollicking River Tales," where he will weave captivating stories, including "The Origin of the River" and "The Imps of Donderberg," accompanied by the lively tunes of Steve "Caffeine" Kelman.
Adding to the excitement, Janette Aiello from Little Genii Puppets will enchant attendees with two magnificent 8-foot parade puppets: "Ondine," the sparkling mermaid guardian of the Hudson River's waters, and "Gaia," the Earth Mother overseeing our natural world. These mesmerizing creatures will dance and interact with visitors, spreading joy and environmental awareness.
There will be a variety of fun Earth Day crafts curated for kids, including an opportunity to make an Ondine puppet. And you can visit the educational and environmental exhibits and food vendors while enjoying live music and entertainment.
