Developing positive peer relationships and navigating social situations are lifelong skills that are very important in order to function appropriately in our daily lives. Social skills are essential on the playground and are the backbone of professional success. Our children receive formal education for reading and math, yet they are expected to “just know” how to interact with others. The reality is that people need to learn how to interact with others. Although technology has made our lives easier, it has also hindered our ability to interact with each other on a personal level. However, with the proper training and tools, children can learn important life skills that are necessary throughout life. Groups will provide social skills training for children with a range of concerns including, but not limited to: shyness/ social anxiety, impulsiveness, making and maintaining friendships, flexibility, sharing, and cooperating with others. At Clubhouse Stars, your child will learn in a manner that supports and encourages him/her in order to build his/her confidence and self-esteem.

Business Review

Dear Clubhouse Staff,

Hi there! Hope all is well. Wanted to share an uplifting story with you. My son was telling me about a boy in his class and that he always has tantrums and gets in trouble. I asked my son how he felt about that. I said, “I know someone who used to do that but who behaves better now.” He said. “Yeah me.” He then said he went up to the teacher to tell her quietly about the Clubhouse song about rubbing hands, sitting up tall and blowing out candles. He told her he uses this to calm down. He wanted her to share it with the little boy. He also talked of a boy who crumbles and rips up his paper and cries. He said this boy should breathe to calm down. My son is amazing. And so are you all for teaching him things that he uses daily and is smart enough to know when it could be useful to others. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. And my son thanks you as well!
