Weekly Story Book Camp in White Plains and Chappaqua: June 8– August 17th. 3-5 year olds share a morning of movement, music and art with a new story each week. Basic movement fundamentals, development of fine and gross motor skills, musicality, and shapes, levels & dynamics.
Moving Wheels & Heels Adaptive Adult Intensive, June 22-27. Dancers age 16+ learn technique and repertory, improve range of motion, explore and express creativity, and enjoy a collaborative artistic experience. Live music, wheel chairs welcome. Adaptive Youth Camp: June 25– 28 incorporates dance, movement, and related arts activities in a warm, supportive and creative environment.
Dance Camp Grades 1-5 and Dance Intensive Grades 6-8; White Plains - July 6-17; Bethany - August 3-14. Classes in Modern, Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, and Musical Theater. Also dance history and composition, body conditioning and choreographing your own dances. No experience necessary. Culminates in showing of both technique and original work.
Hip-Hop Camp: July 20-24;grades 2-5 The child who loves Kidz Bop Music Videos and reenacts the dance moves on Fortnite Mission Success will have a blast in this camp: Classic and New School styles, scratch, and learn about the rich history of Hip-Hop Music, Dance, and Culture.
Choreography Camp – July 20-24; Grades 4-7; Rising Choreographers learn the fundamentals needed to create their own masterpiece. Explore time, space, shapes, dynamics and relationships in dance and find their own voices as story tellers. Daily classes in Modern, Composition, Dance Notation and Dance Making result In a Showing of their compositions at week’s end. Join us for an exploratory journey through dance and dance making. No previous dance experience required.
Musical Theater Kids: Grades 2-5 and Musical Theater Intensive Grades 6-10. July 27 – August 7; Performers interested in acting, singing & dancing train with some of the best professional teachers in the Musical Theater field, exploring the performing arts within a safe, nurturing and artistically challenging environment, and getting daily acting, voice, and dance classes taught through games, exercises and technique classes. Actor/singers who need more intensive dance training and dancers wanting to explore acting and singing work with professional voice, acting and dance teachers to enhance vocal and acting skills while honing dance technique. Beginner – advanced performers. Students work with professional voice, acting, acting and dance teachers. Each week learn music and choreography from a different Broadway musical performed at week’s end.
