Travel has become such an important part of my self-care it allows me to break away from my daily routine and experience new environments. This change of scenery is so refreshing and rejuvenating and provides me with a mental and emotional break from my usual responsibilities and stressors. As a mom of four, I prioritize my mental health to make me the best mom I can be. I was given the chance to visit Wyndham Alltra Cancun with 11 of my fellow Macaroni KID Publishers from around the country (and Canada!). This family-friendly beachfront all-inclusive resort is a great place to visit with your family or your friends.

- Family-Friendly Amenities: Cancun Wyndham Alltra may offer family-friendly amenities like kid's clubs, children's pools, and organized activities for kids. If you're traveling with children, this resort can provide a safe and enjoyable environment for them. The resort is the perfect size for traveling with children. The designated kid's area keeps kids contained so you can sit and relax while they play. The Pirate-themed play area is clean and laid out safely. There are water slides and splash areas that make this area fun for kids of all ages. The teen space called Hashtag gives teens a private space to hang out and do their own thing.
- Spacious Accommodations: Family suites that are the perfect size for a family of five that has bunkbeds or interconnected rooms may be available to accommodate larger groups. This can make it more convenient for families to stay together. You do need to call and request the connected rooms but the staff is so accommodating that they will do their best to make it happen.
- Educational Opportunities: Cancun has many opportunities for cultural and educational experiences. Visiting historical sites, museums, and exploring local culture can be enriching for children. Wyndham Alltra Cancun has a sea turtle conservation program or a designated sea turtle nesting area. As part of wildlife conservation efforts, the hotels are required to pay attention to the sea turtles. When they lay an egg, they mark it and then fence it off to protect it from predators. During the hatching season the sand starts to move a bit they allow the egg to hatch with supervision, they may take it somewhere safe until it gets to a certain size and then release into the wild. This is an ongoing effort to protect the wildlife.
- Quality Time: A family trip can provide quality bonding time and create lasting memories. Activities like snorkeling, swimming, and exploring the natural beauty of the area can be enjoyed together. There are on-site excursion experts that will find you the perfect excursion.
- Easy Meals: There are so many food choices at the resort. In the kid-friendly area, there is “The Dog House” that serves up fun foods like burgers, hotdogs and nachos or you can bring the whole family to one of the on-site restaurants that have buffets for breakfast or lunch and sit down for dinner. Room service is also available from 7 am to 11 pm.

- Social Atmosphere: Traveling with friends can be more dynamic and social. If you enjoy a vibrant nightlife and entertainment Wyndham Alltra Cancun is right in the heart of all that is happening in Cancun however, the entertainment at the resort is really top notch. You can also do like we did and just become the entertainment, my group of friends decided to get up on the stage for Karaoke! Talk about stepping outside our comfort zone.
- Beach Time: One of the main attractions in Wyndham Alltra Cancun is its beautiful beach. Spend your days lounging on the soft white sand, soaking up the sun, and listening to the soothing sound of the ocean. Wyndham Alltra Cancun has direct access to the beach with beachside lounge chairs and cabanas available for rent.
- Poolside Relaxation: Most resorts in Cancun have pools with loungers and cabanas. Spend some time by the pool, take a refreshing swim, and enjoy the poolside service.
- Spa and Wellness: Wyndham Alltra Cancun offers spa services. Treat yourself to a massage, facial, or other spa treatments to help you relax and rejuvenate. You can book these services with your bestie and enjoy them together
- Yoga and Meditation: The on-site yoga or meditation classes. Helps you find inner peace and reduce stress, it’s a huge plus with the view that beachside yoga comes with at Wyndham Alltra Cancun
- Unplug: Disconnect from your devices and truly unwind. Enjoy the break from constant notifications and be present in the moment

Noteworthy mention: The staff at Wyndham Alltra Cancun is seriously outstanding. They are committed to not only making sure that you have a good time, but they want you to feel like you're at home. It blew me away by how fun they were and the way they would make you feel like you were old friends. I am looking forward to going back to visit them again.

When I had the opportunity to visit Wyndham Alltra Cancun this fall I came up with a hundred excuses as to why I shouldn't go, but the biggest reason to go was ME! I went for me and was able to get the chance to see why this is undoubtedly a great resort to get away with your family, with your friends, and most importantly with yourself. Ultimately, whether you choose to visit Cancun Wyndham Alltra with family or friends depends on your personal preferences, the type of vacation experience you're looking for, and the composition of your travel group. Both options can be enjoyable, so consider what suits your needs and desires best.
