Boredom Busters -- Ideas for Indoor Fun in Westchester County

What a week of weather!  In our neck of the woods of Westchester County, we are fortunate to have so many options for indoor play.  And if you don't mind a short drive to try something new, there are a number of places just outside our vicinity as well.  This time of year can be very difficult to keep young kids busy during the cold winter months. Here are some ideas of indoor activities, play spaces and museums. Click on the venues name to get to their website.

  • Amaze In Pottery, Briarcliff Manor
  • BounceU - Kids can literally bounce off the walls during Open Bounce time at Bounce U in Elmsford.  This venue also hosts kids' camps and birthday parties. 150 Clearbrook Road, Elmsford.
  • Catch Air - Indoor play center.  Nanuet
  • Palisades Climb Adventure - Toddler area and older children's climbing course at the Palisades Center Mall.  West Nyack.
  • The Cliffs at Valhalla.  Indoor climbing venue has programs for kids as young as 6 years of age. Also a venue for birthday parties.
  • Grand Prix/Spins Bowl - Grand Prix has something for every kid -- Go-Kart racing, bowling at Spins Bowl and also a terrific game room & their new Ninja course. 333 North Bedford Road, Mt. Kisco.
  • Gym City - Reasonably priced at $5 for open play, this large structure is lots of fun.  Many options for very young ones too, such as Fisher Price vehicles. Cortlandt Manor, NY
  • Hapik - Ropes course and climbing.  Yonkers
  • Honey Joe's Family Coffeehouse - Comfortable environment with large wooden play structure.  Good for little kids. Nice to relax with a coffee or avocado toast while the children play.  Stamford
  • Little Kings and Queens Fun Place - Cortlandt Manor
  • Pop In! Play Space & Café - Larchmont
  • Play Connection by Fun Time Amusement - Bounce houses and more.  Jefferson Valley Mall
  • Rockin' Jump - This trampoline park has a special area for younger jumpers plus plenty of action for older kids including dodgeball and basketball venues.  333 North Bedford Road, Mt. Kisco.
  • Sparklicious - Located inside Grand Prix, this sparkly venue is a great place to entertain kids indoors. They can create a craft, have a manicure or even have their make-up done. They have open studio hours on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Check their website for details. Sparklicious also has custom birthday parties and holiday break camps. 333 North Bedford Road, Mt.   • The Play Place -- This venue has indoor tennis and soccer programs for younger kids plus plenty of "open play" time at reasonable prices. They also host vacation camps for kids ages 3-8 and birthday parties.175 Clearbrook Road, Elmsford.
