The Best Blogs of the Rivertowns

By: Esther Feldbaum

Blog is “short for web log." An online journal that shares information about anything and everything.

I recently met up with some of the most interesting and amazing women who share their ideas, dreams, expertise, services, catastrophies, style and a bit of their heart in the blogs they write. I am inspired each day by these women. The fabulous part is they all have a unique voice; one of which might just be like the one in your head! ;)

You are really going to enjoy perusing these blogs! Click "read more" below.

hoolaboola: Monica Dreger, shares her design ideas for stylish, chic, green, happy kids and moms!

The Amateur Surburbanite: Here Monica shares the fear of "settling down" with a mortgage, two kids & a white fence....yup, check!

Mossy: Marcie Cuff, helps you discover simple ways to help you and your family slow down and explore nature, art and how the world works.

A-List Mom: Elina Furman, brings you the best services & products for moms, babies, tykes & tots in a FREE daily email.

Shit My Kids Ruined: Julie Haas Brophy. I nearly fell off the sofa I was laughing so hard the first time I checked out this cheeky blog about the shit her kids destroy.

Clara and Emma: Arin Frome Gornstein, and her life with fabulous three-year-old twins.

The Rivertown Playgroup: Arin, along with Jennifer Newman Shotton, creates & runs events for parents with young children in Westchester.

The Lyons Den: Kerry Lyons, blogs about keeping up with 5 kids under six (triples included!!)

Facing Forty Upside Down Patty Chang Anker, is turning forty & she's learning things she never got around to learning as a kid. With two younglings underfoot!

The Urban Suburban Mom: Tobi Spino, brings you the trials & tribulations of motherhood, suburbia, & how to still stay cool while doing it all! She also contributes to The Rivertowns Patch! How does she do it!

Sara Bakes Cakes: Sara Schneider, tells you her baking secrets...the scoop on recipes, cooking tips and cakes baked by Sara!

Rivertowns Guide: Jennifer Holiday, creates the complete guide to living in, visiting & moving to the Westchester Rivertowns.

Wiggle Room: Veera Hiranandani, believes we all need a little Wiggle Room in our lives! Follow her on her journey to publishing her first novel for young readers! Due 2012!

Hudson and Hill:  Britta Alexander. Two Toddlers. One Business. And not much sleep. 'nuff said.

Get Buttoned Up: Sarah Welch, inspires you to organize your life, your job, your purse, your kids & your home!

I've met a few of the women you've listed above and enjoyed their blogs..... here's another great one for you to peruse: my friend Meredith's blog ..... http://thefoodyenta.blogspo... enjoy her great recipes, witty writing on food and her far ranging ruminations about "the husband, the son, the princess, stella the dog" and the world beyond.
