Review-Paintball Sports

My sons 10th Birthday is one he will never forget

By Rachel Fenty December 10, 2014
I don't know about in other families but turning 10 is a big deal in my house. It is that dividing line between "big kid" and "little kid". When your #2 in the line up of 4 my son was counting down the minutes until his 20th Birthday. When we were looking at places to host his Birthday Bash we wanted something big enough to host a large group and something that would keep the guest busy for a few hours. In my search I came across the idea of a paintball birthday party and the more I researched the more it sounded like a great idea! your out doors so you can hold a large group, you can play as long as you want (or until you run out of paint) and it is fun. I ran the idea past my son, Ayden and he right away said "YES!"
I reached out to Paintball Sports based upon their reputation I knew that was where I wanted Ayden's party to be. They were so accommodating and were able to book our party on the day that I wanted. When I told them my son wanted to invite his entire 5th grade they welcomed the idea of such a large group. (DISCLAIMER AYDEN'S 5th grade is only 50 kids).
We arrived at Paintball Sports at 11am and we were greeted right away and brought into a small cabin with a wood burning stove to keep warm while we waited for the guests to arrive. Once everyone arrived (we only had 22) we checked in and received our gear, oh yes when I said OUR I mean OUR... Yes my husband and I played too. The 2 referees that were assigned to us went over safety and made sure everyone knew the most important rules. Each of us received a protective face mask and a chest protector. A camo coverall was available to purchase for $8.

We headed off to the first Field to play. The first 2 games were more instructional than play. It gave the kids a good intro into using their guns and safety. Also gave us all an idea of how it felt to be hit by a paintball. After the first 2 games we headed off to lunch and the cabin to warm up.
Lunch was pizza which was there ready for us once we were done. Paintball Sports will order in food for you and have it ready for you.

After lunch we headed out and played 4 more games of paintball. The kids had a blast and were exhausted (and bruised) by the end of the day. 6 hours of paintball playing outdoors is a great way to guarantee a good night sleep for all.

I received 6 hours of paintball in exchange for this review. All opinions are my own.
