Dare I say it? It seems like I must! Parents are all a-buzz with school supply shopping. Kids are all excited about their new teachers and matching themselves up with their new classmates. Teachers are planning out the beginning of school. Somebody slap me! We still have gobs of summer left!

Friday, August 5 - Yoga Together

Jumping frog, twisty owl, downward dog, oh my! Child and parent or caregiver practice fun yoga poses that build strength, increase flexibility and relax the body and mind in this one-hour class. Incorporate breathing and relaxation techniques into a dynamic and playful experience that you and your child can enjoy together. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring a mat if possible. Sessions are held outdoors and are weather dependent.

Sunday, September 11 - Bicycle Sundays!

Spring is here at last and a sure sign of the new season is the return of Bicycle Sundays to the Bronx River Parkway. A portion of the Bronx River Parkway is closed to cars for the exclusive use of bicyclists as well as joggers, walkers, people on non-motorized scooters and people pushing strollers. There are many points of entry and exit along the way. Bicycle Sundays 2011 are on September 11, 18 & 25.

Westchester County Center in White Plains, south to Scarsdale Road in Yonkers
